Эта память отличается от способностей запоминать слова, эпизоды или лица и требует эффективной работы специальной структуры мозга – гиппокампа, клетки которого страдают в первую очередь при плохом питании мозга или при старении.
The ability of visual-spatial working memory is reflected by remembering the location of objects: the filled-in squares in the field. This type of memory is different from the ability to memorize words, episodes or faces. It requires effective operation of a special structure in the brain – the hippocampus, whose cells suffer foremost from poor supply of the brain and from ageing.
